Samarkand is a hand-knotted rug made from the highest quality hand-spun New Zealand wool. The wool is dyed with natural dyes obtained from walnuts, pistachios and the Kermes beetle. During the final treatment, the carpet is washed in a special tea bath, which gives this carpet a specific patina and shine. Made in India's Aurai region.
