Damask 009 light blue

Damask is a hand-knotted rug in a combination of New Zealand wool and bamboo silk on a cotton warp. Bamboo silk is obtained from bamboo stalks, so the carpet is a 100% natural product. The carpet is finished on two sides with cotton fringes, which are dyed in a tea bath. The name of the carpet is derived from the so-called damask pattern, which originated in distant China and was imported to Europe in the 14th century. The rug was made in India's Bhadohi region.
